Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, therapeutic treatment. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide an equitable atmosphere for individuals, families, and couples.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, become inspired, and aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by listening to your concerns, customizing a treatment plan, and being a part of your support team.

Daisy Brown holds an Associates in Arts & Science, Major in Business Management, Bachelor of Arts, Social Work degree as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, she is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Daisy Brown is the founder of Remnant Community Counseling Center L.L.C. The Counseling Center is designed as a solution for people seeking traditional mental health counseling, spiritual counseling, and pastoral counseling. The Center seeks to be a place of freedom, refuge, and peace for those who are lost, suicidal, depressed, and oppressed. Daisy Brown has experience in marriage and family, premarital, trauma/abuse/abandonment, addictive/compulsive behaviors, self- image issues, and life skills training and many other areas.
Daisy Brown has a deep passion and unique skills to work closely with people and help them reach their fullest potential through developing goals, creating healthy boundaries, and empowering them for change. Her approach to counseling is straight forward but warm and loving. She provides a perspective into situations that allow for growth and healing. Daisy believes she was born to be a therapist and loves helping people learn and grow.
Porscha she see's all ages from 5 - 99. She teaches them to advocate for themselves, learn how to healthily express their discomfort, and find language for their big emotions. The highlight of working with this population for Porscha is seeing how vast children’s vocabulary is. Porscha’s desire is for everyone to treat therapy as a seatbelt, not something only used in an emergency, but a tool designed to protect you.
Targeted Case Manager provides person-centered support to adults who have been diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorder or children with Severe Emotional Disturbance. TCM provide personalized service for individuals in the community who may have co-occurring medical, social and substance abuse.
Administrative Assistants assist with the day-to-day operations of an office by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, preparing documents for meetings, and managing the calendar.
Wendi Ashford, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Co-occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorder Professional. She has over 30 years experience working with adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. She is currently the Manager of the Therapist Services and Program development for the Addiction Recovery and Mental Health Units at Carle BroMenn Medical Center.
Jordan has dedicated his life to pursuing his passion for connecting and building relationships with those in need. Spending the majority of his professional, educational, and athletic career working alongside young individuals, he is deeply fueled by seeing others grow and achieve a greater quality of life.
Prior to joining the team at Remnant Counseling Center, Jordan's professional experience included four years within inpatient mental health settings working with youth and adults, a professional internship at Associates at Hope Harbor, where he provided individual and group counseling for court mandated clients in the Kansas City metro area, 4 years of case management experience with Youthrive, a non-profit organization focused on helping youth in the Kansas foster care system successfully transition into adulthood, and working in private practice providing individual and group therapy focused on helping predominantly clients of color, addressing men's issues, and dealing with trauma.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys staying active through fitness training, traveling with his partner, and growing in his meditation practice.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and are a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
We offer Telehealth, Group Therapy, and individualize treatment to children, adults, couples, and families. We aid our family by utilizing evidence-based practices, and using an array of treatment modalities to identify treatment goals and objectives. We offer play therapy, solution focus therapy, task center approach, and behavior modification techniques. We believe in investigating and identifying the root causes of behaviors and establishing a plan to make the necessary changes and adjustments. Our staff is committed to walking with each family, couple and client to help them reach their desired goals and objectives. Our practice is built on commitment, acceptance, and love. We are currently accepting Kentucky Medicaid, Aetna, Wellcare, Anthem, Medicare, United Healthcare, UMR, Cigna, Passport and all other insurance plans.
